Tesla In-Car Customization: Wireless App Upload & USB Guide

STEP 01

Download Wrap Image

Browse and download your favorite wrap from MyTesLab. Save the PNG original to your phone gallery (<1MB).

Save the original file directly to prevent messaging apps from re-compressing it.

STEP 02

Select in Tesla App

In the Tesla App, navigate to "Creations" -> "Wraps" -> "Upload", and select the downloaded PNG.

STEP 03

Preview & Sync

Check the rendered 3D preview, tap "Upload & Apply Wrap", and it syncs wirelessly to your car screen.

Keep the phone and vehicle connected as required by the current Tesla app. Upload availability depends on vehicle and software support.

Important Notes & Limitations:

• Manage uploaded wraps: Use the management options available in your current Tesla app and vehicle software. Their names and availability may change after updates.

• Vehicle screen capacity & cleanup: Tesla lists up to 10 custom wraps from the app and up to 10 from USB. Check the current Paint Shop options to manage older designs.

Why is there no "Creations - Wraps" entry in my Tesla App?▼

Tesla lists app version 4.59.0 or later for wrap upload. Update your app and check the vehicle software and available menus. Availability can vary by vehicle and rollout; consult Tesla support if the entry is missing.

How to delete or manage old wraps? Can I delete them in Tesla Mobile App?▼

Check the management options currently shown in your Tesla app and in Toybox → Paint Shop on the vehicle. Tesla lists up to 10 app wraps and up to 10 USB wraps. Menus and deletion options may change with software updates.

Why does the wrap not appear on the car screen after uploading?▼

1. Verify the file is pure PNG (<1MB). Avoid forwarding images through chat apps that convert PNG to compressed JPEG. 2. For USB import, ensure the folder name is strictly capitalized as "Wraps" in the root directory. 3. Ensure your vehicle has stable cellular connectivity for OTA sync.

Why is the "USB" lock sound option greyed out or unselectable?▼

Ensure the audio file is located strictly in the root directory of the USB drive (not inside Wraps or TeslaCam folders). The file must be named exactly "LockChime.wav" (case-sensitive) and under 1MB in WAV format.

Do custom wraps affect vehicle warranty, cameras, or system safety?▼

This guide uses Tesla-provided customization features where available; MyTesLab is not affiliated with Tesla. Digital wraps do not repaint the vehicle. For warranty, safety or hardware questions, consult Tesla support and the current vehicle manual.

How should I check a design before importing it?▼

Select the exact model and inspect the 3D preview, panel edges and seams. Check the exported file against Tesla requirements. AI output and uploaded designs may need adjustments; MyTesLab does not guarantee perfect alignment on every vehicle or software version.
